Fantasy tan is unlike other spray tans. We offer several colors and can customize a look that is right for your skin tone.
You can expect your service to take about 30 minutes.
With proper exfoliation prior to your tan you can expect your tan to last 7-10 days. It is recommended to get touch-up tans weekly to keep your color looking natural.
It is important to exfoliate well and to shave 24 hours before your tanning session. This will help your tan to go on more evenly and it will last longer.
Do not use moisturizers before your tan and if you are tanning your face, do not wear make-up.
If you use exfoliating products or those with AHA/BHA or retinoids your tan will fade more quickly. Do not go into chlorinated water and avoid long hot showers or baths. Apply moisturizers daily.
Botox Cosmetic and Botox (made by Allergan) have 6 U.S. FDA label approvals, including treatment of expression lines/facial wrinkles and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating). When injected by a properly qualified and trained medical professional in an appropriate medical setting, U.S. FDA-approved Botox Cosmetic is an extremely safe treatment.
The term paralysis suggests a permanent loss of movement resulting from injury to a nerve or muscle. Botox blocks the ability of the stimulating nerve to cause contraction of the injected muscle. This does not result in permanent muscle injury or paralysis. It does reduce or substantially eliminate the ability of this injected muscle to contract and produce overlying skin wrinkles. This effect is transient and generally lasts about 3 to 4 months.
The greatest risk is when Botox is not injected properly. You may receive limited benefit, or you may experience a condition called ptosis (a dropping of the area injected). The most common side effect is bruising or redness. It is possible, but unlikely, that you will experience a mild headache following treatment. It is possible, but rare, that you may experience mild flu-like symptoms after your injections.
The full effect of Botox® Cosmetic may take up to 10 days to fully demonstrate itself. The results usually last from 3 to 5 months. Repeated treatments can lead to longer lasting results.
No. You may return to work or normal activities immediately following treatment. It is recommended that for 4 hours after treatment, you avoid vigorous exercise, do not lie down, and do not massage the area treated.
The amount (or number of units) of Botox to effectively treat the desired area will be determined during your individual assessment & evaluation.
Chemical peel is a treatment in which an acid solution is used to remove the damaged outer layers of the skin. Typically administered as a facial peel, a chemical peel enhances and smoothes the texture of the skin. It is an effective treatment for facial blemishes, wrinkles, and uneven skin pigmentation.
You may experience a warm, tingling and/or slight stinging sensation. The esthetician may place a fan on low speed to help with any type of discomfort.
Response to chemical peels depends on the patient's skin type and frequency of treatments. Some of our patients experience some mild redness. Over several days after the treatment, there may be a fine peeling or scaling of the skin which can easily be controlled by applying moisturizer.
Absolutely! The peeling process is gradual. Most of the sloughing action will take place when you wash your face. You may experience some minor flaking or a tight feeling for a few days, but this will subside.
In general, the deeper the peel, the greater the risk of side effects and complications. Chemical peels can result in:
• Redness (erythema). Expect some redness of the skin after a chemical peel. With deeper peels or with certain skin types, redness can be severe. It may fade within a few weeks, or it may last several months.
• Color changes in the skin. Treated areas may be darker or lighter than the surrounding skin.
• Crusting and scaling.
• Swelling (edema), especially around the eyes.
• Scarring.
• Allergic reaction to the chemical.
• Infection. People who have a history of herpes outbreaks are especially prone to infection after a chemical peel.
• Increased sensitivity to sunlight.
Dermal fillers are delivered under the skin surface with a very fine needle. Once injected, the gel plumps and lifts the skin gently to replace collagen loss caused by the natural aging process. Movement and sensation are not affected – your lips and skin will look and feel soft and natural.
While both fillers and Botox are injected by a clinician, Juvederm and Restylane use hyaluronic acids to fill in facial wrinkles such as the nasolabial folds, while Botox is commonly used to selectively relax the facial muscles responsible for wrinkles between the eyebrows (glabella), the forehead, and under the eyes.
Fillers typically last 6-9 months depending on the product used and the area it is injected. Juvederm is the only HA filler that is approved by the FDA to last up to 1 year.
As with most cosmetic surgery procedures, there are potential risks associated with injectable fillers which may include adverse anesthesia reactions, allergic reaction, bruising, numbness, redness, swelling, discoloration, and lumping and granulomas.
Clients should expect some discomfort during and directly after treatment with any dermal filler product. To make the process more comfortable, we may apply an anesthetic (numbing) cream to the area before injection.
We recommend planning your filler treatment at least 2 weeks prior to any special event. When the lips are treated, they may appear swollen and somewhat uneven during the first few days. While most side effects are mild to moderate in nature, these can include temporary injections site reactions such as redness, pain/tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps/bumps, bruising, itching, and discoloration.
Immediately following the treatment, the spots may start to darken. You may notice a slight reddening of the surrounding skin. This typically subsides within a couple of hours. Over the course of the next one to three weeks, darkened spots will fade and flake off.
Spots formed by sun exposure can effectively be treated with our intense pulse light procedure. It is an ideal treatment for all types of skin discoloration including brown/red combination skin, poikilorderma and solar lentigines. There are, however, other types of pigmentated lesions, such as birthmarks and moles that will not respond to this therapy. We will identify the spots most likely to respond well during our consultation.
New spots may appear, particularly if the treated area is subjected to chronic sun exposure. These too can be removed. Remember to liberally apply sunscreen when outdoors to minimize sun damage and the appearance of new spots.
Typically, one or two treatments are sufficient to see dramatic results. Additional treatments may be required for very large or dark spots or for densely covered areas. More information about what you can reasonably expect will be reviewed during a consultation.
Té Bella uses the latest technology to treat medium to dark hair on virtually all skin types. Because the laser is attracted to dark pigment in your hair, it cannot be used on white or blonde hair.
Avoid sun exposure. If you have any tan on your skin you will be asked to reschedule or we may choose to use a different laser that may be safer but may be less effective for your hair removal. Please shave the area 1-2 days prior to treatment. Do not wax, tweeze, bleach or use depillatory creams prior to your treatment. If you have a history of cold sores or herpes virus in the area to be treated it may be necessary to pre-treat with an anti-viral medication.
Results vary from person to person, but most patients will achieve desirable hair reduction with 6 treatments. The ideal candidate has light colored skin and dark hair and typically see the best results. Regardless of your skin color, you will see thinner, less dense hair growth. Some individuals may require follow up treatments until they achieve their goal.
Hair grows in cycles. Lasers only permanently reduce hair that is in an active growth phase. Not all hair is in an active growth phase at one time. In order to reduce as much hair as possible, it is necessary to treat the area over many cycles. The length of the growth cycles vary by body part. Typically treatment intervals are between 4 and 12 weeks.
Most patients tolerate the treatment very well. Certain areas are associated with slight discomfort which will vary based on pain threshold. Topical anesthetic may be required. Please discuss this with your clinician.
Following the treatment you may have a "sunburned" feeling. There is no downtime from this treatment. The skin may be slightly pink and swollen. These effects usually resolve within a few hours. It is important to use sunscreen before and after your treatments.
Laser skin tightening is a series of laser treatments, using the Candela GentleYAG laser, designed to stimulate dermal collagen production and regeneration of damaged skin cells. The single-wavelength light energy produced by the GentleYAG targets fibroblasts in the dermis, which produce new collagen in response to laser energy. Increased turnover of skin cells is also stimulated, helping to regenerate and replace damaged cells.
There is no downtime or external injury to the skin. A person can return to work or reapply makeup immediately following the procedure. The full face and neck can be treated in just one hour.
The new dermal collagen that is produced becomes part of the structure of the treated skin, and thus Laser Skin Tightening can produce improvements in skin which lasts for years. GentleYAG skin tightening is so powerful that new collagen production can continue several months after the treatment. Most people report improvement immediately, with even more dramatic results weeks later. New collagen growth results in continued skin tightening and the development of a more youthful complexion with fewer lines, folds, and looseness of the skin. Continued exposure to the damaging ultraviolet rays of the sun will result in breakdown of both existing and new collagen over time, so it is very important to protect your results by limiting sun exposure, using a high-SPF sunblock, and maintaining a healthy and scientifically sound skin care regimen.
Clinical studies suggest that 4-6 treatments spaced 3 to 4 weeks apart in most cases will produce a significant increase in dermal collagen, remodeling of dermal matrix components, and a resulting improvement in overall skin tone and vitality.
There is no way to tell for sure which veins will respond to lasers. Both laser and sclerotherapy are excellent treatments for leg veins. Advantages of the laser includes no needles, the ability to treat small vessels (sometimes difficult to do with sclerotherapy) and increased safety in treatment of certain areas, especially the ankle. If you have extensive varicose veins, you may need deep sclerotherapy or surgical vein removal. We will discuss this with you at your consultation.
In many cases, significant improvement is realized in as few as 1 to 2 treatments. In some cases new spider veins may appear and therefore additional treatments may be necessary. Treatments may occur at 4 to 6 week intervals.
Although we encourage you to resume normal activities almost immediately, we do ask that you refrain from vigorous activities for at least 24 hours. Avoid exercise for one week after the treatment. Please also avoid hot baths and hot tubs for at least the first 24-48 hours. Compressive stockings are no longer used following spider removal treatment with the YAG Laser.
Microdermabrasion is a form of mechanical skin exfoliation also known as the "lunchtime peel." It is non-invasive and there is no down time after the treatment. A microdermabrasion machine is designed to remove the buildup of dead skin cells on the topmost layer of skin. It also promotes increased circulation and blood flow, which stimulates the regeneration of skin cells. Your skin will be left feeling supple and vibrant!
Microdermabrasion treatments usually require 30-45 minutes and may be performed at the initial consultation if prearranged.
Microdermabrasion requires a series of treatments. Cumulative results can be significant with as little as 6 treatments repeated one to three weeks apart. While noticeable results are achieved with a single treatment, it is an unrealistic to expect significant changes from only one treatment.
You can expect to feel as if you have a mild sun burn or windburn. You skin will feel very dry and may peel. This is natural and is the purpose of the procedure. You should regularly apply a high quality moisturizer as well as a high protection sun block. Do not expose your face to sunlight for long periods of time, not even tanning beds. You should not use any exfoliating scrubs or lotions beforehand or afterwards for at least 3 days. Your skin will be smoother and the damage will be lessened.
After the treatment, a pink or red "sunburn" appearance and feeling is common. This appearance and sensation generally resolves within 24-72 hours. Moisturizers may be applied several hours after each treatment and then should be applied regularly during the course of treatment. Small pinpoint dots can remain on the face for 3-5 days.
Before the treatment, a topical anesthetic may be used to numb the area. During the treatment, many patients feel a warm, prickly sensation on their skin. Topical anesthetic ointments and cooling are used to reduce skin sensation during treatment. After the treatment, a pink or "sunburn" appearance and feeling is also common.
Typical treatment protocols include 3 or more treatment sessions, 4-6 weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skin's condition.
No. Any area can be treated with e-Matrix technology with our most commonly treated areas being the neck, chest and hands.
The HydraFacial™ treatment is designed for all skin types. Even the most sensitive skin easily tolerates the HydraFacial™ treatment. We will make recommendations for specific treatment serums and customize the treatment for your unique skin conditions and needs.
The HydraFacial™ treatment is a fast, efficient treatment that takes as little as 30 minutes. The treatment is often described as a feeling like "a cool paintbrush moving over the face". You may put on make-up and return to your normal activities right after the treatment since there is no downtime.
Many people report seeing visible skin refinement and an even, radiant skin tone after just one treatment. The smooth results and hydration may last 5 to 7 days or even longer. A series of 6 treatments are recommended for improving the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, hyper pigmentation, acne and oily skin. After your first series of treatments, you may want to maintain your results with a HydraFacial™ treatment every 2 to 4 weeks.
This procedure is especially beneficial to those who have a visual impairment, alopecia, an active lifestyle, sparse or light lashes, difficulty in applying makeup, hay fever, watery eyes, unsteady or arthritic hands or allergies to cosmetics.
The most popular areas are eyebrows and eyeliner, but lip liner and full lip color can also be done.
Technically this treatment is considered permanent because they cannot be washed off, however, as with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance.
Most people do experience some discomfort. This varies according to each person's pain threshold. We use topical anesthetic ointments and will work with you to try and keep you as comfortable as possible.
A touch up is a color re-enhancement. Almost always the implanted color is not perfect after the first procedure. At least one follow up should be scheduled.
Through clinical studies it has been demonstrated that the Zerona® low level laser stimulates fat cells to liquefy the fat within the cell. Then the liquefied fat moves from inside the cell through a temporary pore formed in the cell membrane to outside the cell where it is absorbed by the lymphatic system. This results in millions of fat cells becoming smaller, so inches are reduced off the waist, hips and thighs. The fat cells are not injured in any way by this process.
You can expect 40 minutes to relax, read or do absolutely nothing. The Zerona® treatment is completely painless. There is no heat or any sensation whatsoever while being treated. Each treatment you will be met by your physician or technician who will position the laser at the desired areas of the body, he/she will step out for 20 minutes while the front of your body is treated and then will return to reset for the backside of your body for an additional 20 minutes. After you are done you can get back to your normal activities immediately with absolutely no downtime, pain, swelling or any discomfort. This is a symptom–free process except for losing unwanted inches.
No. During the 2 week treatment period you can continue your normal activities. It is strongly recommended that you commit to and follow the treatment protocol: stay hydrated (8-10 glasses of water a day), continue to eat healthy and exercise (walk at least 30 minutes a day) and abstain from alcohol and caffeine. Alcohol and caffeine interfere with the lymphatic process to remove fat and metabolize it which can decrease your results.
Some can see results after only a few treatment sessions as their clothes fit more loosely. Many actually see the difference after 4-6 sessions. Family and friends often notice the difference, too, within the 2 week Zerona® program.
